Overview
Eating out in Greece
Greek dining is about sharing: meze, salads and grilled dishes placed in the middle of the table, slow evenings at the taverna and coffee that lasts an hour. Ouzeri, psarotaverna and psistaria each have their own menu style.
Tourism shapes the year. From May to October islands and coastal towns serve guests from Germany, the UK, France and Italy, and many venues change their menu and prices for the season.

Dining habits in Greece that shape the menu
Plates for sharing
Guests order many small dishes for the table. Clear categories for meze, salads and mains help groups choose together.
Fish by the kilo
Fresh fish is usually priced per kilo and weighed in front of the guest. The menu should say so in every language.
A seasonal year
Many venues open for the summer only or change their menu between seasons. A digital menu follows those changes without reprinting.
Menu rules
What a menu in Greece has to show
Greece applies the EU list of 14 allergens, supervised by the Hellenic Food Authority (EFET). Allergen information for food served loose has to be available to guests, and showing it per dish on the menu is the clearest way.
Restaurants must keep a price list, and it must say when a dish is made from frozen meat, fish or vegetables; many venues do this with an asterisk and a note. The price list must also state the type of cooking oil used. Fish sold by weight should show the price per kilo. Prices must include all taxes.
Check the current rules
This is a practical summary, not legal advice. Rules change, so confirm the details with your local food safety authority before you publish.

With ListoQ
How ListoQ runs your QR menu in Greece
One QR code that never needs reprinting
ListoQ gives each venue a permanent QR code and link. Change a price or a dish of the day and guests in Greece see it the moment you publish.
The 14 EU allergens on every dish
Tag allergens and vegetarian or vegan options per item in ListoQ, so the information guests ask about is on the menu instead of in a folder behind the bar.
Import the menu you already have
AI import in ListoQ reads a PDF, Excel, Word file or photo into a draft. You review it, add your languages and publish when it is ready.
